The Plot: A police officer (Terrence Howard) looks to talk down a young man (Charlie Hunnam) lured by his lover's husband (Patrick Wilson) to the ledge of a high rise, where he has one hour to contemplate a fateful decision.
I'm always intrigued by a film that gets such awful longform reviews instead of mere pithy dismissals; some of the most read sites and writes really want you to scroll down to get the full gist of their dislike for Matthew Chapman's self-described philosophical thriller. Charlie Hunnam plays an Atheist and Liv Tyler is an adulterous wife with a "very sexy married mouth." Patrick Wilson is Tyler's Fundamentalist Christian husband and Terrence Howard is the Cop Having a Bad Day. Something tells me this all plays out like a Saw offshoot with a remorseful character trying to free himself from a moral trap. If Chapman were at all spiritual (he's an acknowledged Atheist), maybe he would have created something truly worthy of debate.
